Dating back to the early 1960's, the all-plastic Diana camera is a cult legend - famous for its its dreamy, radiant, and lo-fi images. The brand new DianaF+ is a faithful reproduction and a loving homage to the classic Diana - with a few new features tossed in. 35mm LOMO DIANA MINI

About LOMO DIANA MINI
The Diana Mini is a scaled-down edition of Lomo’s cult favourite, the Diana F+. Almost small enough to fit in your jeans pocket, the Diana Mini uses regular 35mm film rather than the regular Diana’s 120mm film, and can shoot in two different modes: half frame and square.

Half frames and squares
Choose to shoot half frame and it does just that, cramming two exposures onto each frame. That means you can fit 72 shots on a roll of film. Slide the frame mask over to square and you only get the regular 36 exposures, but they’re, well, square, which is pretty unusual.

You can switch between styles on a single roll of film, but Lomo advises you to stick the lens cap on and snap a blank frame between different styles, otherwise you’ll get an overlap.

Manual mastery
Of course, this being a Lomo camera, multiple exposures, overlaps and so on are part of the fun. The fact that you have to manually focus and set your own exposures (although there are just two aperture and two shutter speed settings) means you’ll probably end up with plenty of duds on each roll of film, but probably a few unusual gems, too.

Some people will love this unpredictable nature of the Diana Mini, but in the age of unlimited digital snapping it might make you miss a moment you’d otherwise capture on your regular point-and-shoot.

Not so flash
The Diana Mini doesn’t deal particularly well with low-light situations, but there is a plug for the Diana Flash. There’s also a cable release attachment (although the cable release itself is sold separately).

One issue we do have with the camera is its plasticky build, which seems a little flimsy given the price tag. The lens is plastic, the viewfinder is tiny and the winding mechanism a little rough and ready – it actually tore some of the eyes of the film we used when we wound the entire thing back.

The Diana Mini doesn’t quite have the character of some of Lomo’s other models, but it’s an undeniably quirky change from digital and bags of lo-fi fun.

Pull the trigger-cord, and away the panoramic photos snap, with the camera spinning on its axis. It's one of the coolest (and cheapest) ways to shoot 360-degree photos, and as it's from Lomography the saturated colors and effects are guaranteed.

They're calling it the first truly-affordable infinite shot 35mm panoramic camera, and while it's a little pricier than most of their cameras—like my favorite, the Diana+.

There is the small matter of having to buy film and getting it processed, but as it shoots 35mm that at least keeps the costs down somewhat. Plus, there's no feeling quite like picking up a few developed rolls at the photo shop, and seeing the results—film shooters will know what I'm talking about.

Eight panoramas can be shot per 35mm roll, with the photos filling the whole width of the film, exposing the sprockets for that extra-retro look. Two aperture settings for indoors and outdoors shooting, and Lomography says there are up to ten possible styles of shooting—from the Timescan to the Footloose, to the Hipshot.

To call the original LC-A an “excellent” camera is an understatement – hardcore fans would even run out of superlatives trying to describe it! It’s compact-sized – perfect to take anywhere you go. It’s easy to use, convenient, and produces mind-blowing images. Whether you use slides or negative, the images express deep, punchy colors and vignetting that is the trademark LC-A look.

1. It’s compact. It fits in your pocket and you can hold it in one hand so you can easily shoot from the hip (or from wherever you fancy!)

2. The vignetting. This may well have started off as an unfortunate characteristic of Eastern Bloc manufacturing, but now is an essential part of the Lomo LC-A+ look that adds personality to all your pictures.

3. The lightmeter. This simple device means all your pictures will be correctly exposed. It’s as simple as that. Whether it’s a super bright day in a ski resort or the dead of night the light meter keeps your shutter for exactly the right amount of time.

4. Flexibility. The medium of film is still going strong. There’s a 35mm film for all situations – and they’ll all fit your LC-A+!

5. They’re tough. I’ve dropped my Lomo LC-A+ several times (including one slightly embarrassing incident in my work’s car park involving a client’s car bonnet – car bonnet came off worse!) and it has never missed a beat.

6. The focusing is simple. The zone focus system means that you don’t have to wait for a slow autofocus system to measure, calculate and finally allow the shutter to fire – it all happens instantly.

7. It always takes the picture. Get too close with other compacts, they’ll just say “no”. Sometimes a bit of soft focus is just what you’re after – you make the decisions, not the camera.

8. The MX feature. I was skeptical about this feature at first, but have recently come to enjoy making ‘doubles’. The MX feature gives you the option to do doubles as you go along. Or not. And then maybe do another. As often as you feel like, it’s up to you!

9. It helps to start conversations. People want to know “why are you still using film?”, it’s a real ice-breaker. Oh, and children find it funny that you can’t see the picture on the back of the camera after you’ve taken it!

10. You stand out from the crowd. So everybody else has got ‘Fancy Dan’ digital compacts? Well that’s fine if all you want to do is just record a bland image of exactly what’s in front of the lens – but me, I want to see my memories recorded with a bit of analogue warmth and charm!

1.Lightweight and low-maintenance, the Supersampler is a four-lensed camera that takes four panels of panoramic images in one print.

2. One look at the quirky-looking Supersampler camera and you know that it’s capable of producing unique images. The plastic camera perfectly fits in your hand, with four beady lenses nestled in front. There is a ripcord at one end of the body, and a tiny button at the other.

3.So what does the Supersampler do? The 4 panoramic 20mm plastic lenses, at a push of the button, fire in succession to slice your subject in four panoramic panels. Best results if your subject is in hyperactive motion, or if you prefer to shoot non-moving objects, you can do the moving! .

4.There are two speeds available – 4 photos in 2 seconds (.50sec/photo) or 4 photos in 0.2 seconds (.05sec/photo). 35mm LOMO FISHEYE ONE (RM245 includes postage)

1.The fisheye lens was originally developed to help meteorologists to shoot the whole sky and study cloud formations. I don’t know if it’s used that way anymore, but I do know that it gives an amazing effect and that the Lomo Fisheye One is a perfect way to rock it sky high!

2.The Lomo Fisheye One is, except for the Fisheye No.2, the only 35mm camera with a built in fisheye lens! The fact that it’s a 35mm camera gives you the benefits of using cheap, easy to get, and easy to get developed 135-film, which is great. The camera is really simple and easy to use too.

3.Theres only two buttons and one winding wheel to keep in mind. First, there’s the flash switch on the front left of the camera for turning the flash on and off. Secondly, there’s the shutter button on the top. And third there’s the winding wheel on the back, just below the shutter button. To use the camera you just have to wind the film forward, aim, shoot and capture the moment! You don’t have to think about focusing.

4.The Fisheye One is one hell of a little camera. It’s cute and beautiful and it fits (somewhat tightly though) in your pocket. It also comes with a practical rubber wrist band and lens cap to secure you from dropping it or scratching the lens while engaging in that violent action shoot.

5.There are some cons too though. It’s not possible to make double exposures, then you have to rewind the film first. Secondly the shutter button is too sensitive.
